Frequently asked questions
How does the 2026 World Cup bracket work?
The 2026 tournament has 48 teams in 12 groups of four. The top two from each group plus the eight best third-place finishers advance to a Round of 32. You predict first and second in every group, then fill the full knockout bracket all the way to the Final.
How is my bracket scored?
Group picks earn 1 point each for a correct first or second place (up to 24 points). Knockout correct picks score 3 points for Round of 32, 5 for Round of 16, 8 for Quarter-finals, 13 for Semi-finals, 34 for the Final, plus a 16-point bonus if your champion pick is right.
When do my predictions lock?
Your bracket locks when the opening match kicks off on 11 June 2026. You can update any pick freely until that moment, including which team you call as champion.
Can I compete against friends?
Yes. After saving your bracket you get a private circle link to share. Everyone submits their own picks and your circle leaderboard updates automatically round by round as real results come in.
What does the AI Predictor do?
It runs a Monte Carlo simulation across thousands of tournament scenarios using current FIFA rankings and recent team form. Each team gets a probability estimate for every stage from Group to Final. Use it as a starting point, or trust your own picks and try to beat it.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Completely free, no account required to make picks. Your bracket is saved in your browser. Add your email only if you want to appear on the global leaderboard or challenge friends to your private circle.
